As I was rummaging through the deep dark depths of my computer, I found this old T-shirt design for Andy Hopp's Con on the Cob from 2008.

This is a series from 2011 featuring Napoleon, Dave Beethoven, Bob Genghis Khan... and Abraham Lincoln from the greatest movie ever made, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

I was invited to take part in a group show that happened almost two months ago (but who's counting?) called 50 Liters of Imagination. Each artist was given a liter of ink -- either cyan, magenta, yellow or black, with which we could do with whatever we pleased. Given the cyan ink, it made sense to make bootleg record covers like this old Parliament album I had lying around.

Nobody bought them, but I amused myself, so mission accomplished.

18 years ago, I was sitting in my parent’s basement, cutting out a paper stencil, getting ready to print my first t-shirt. There was a certain magic about it. It didn’t matter that the stencil shriveled up and I was only able to print one shirt. And it didn’t matter that the print was far from perfect. I printed a t-shirt. It was awesome. And I wasn’t going to stop there.

Thousands and thousands of t-shirts later, I sit in my own basement having learned a lot more than how to print. I started a small business and actually made a little bit of money. I met many awesome people. I posed topless on my business cards. Most importantly, I followed a dream and you accepted me. You encouraged me. You supported me. You made me feel like a rock star. And I think about how many people have worn something that I made, and I couldn’t be more humbled. This is starting to sound ridiculously sappy and I do apologize.

Earlier this week, I shut down Psycho Reindeer T-shirt Company. I haven’t printed a Psycho Reindeer t-shirt in over a year because my focus has been on other projects and learning new mediums. It’s bittersweet, but it is time for me to move on. I’m very appreciative for all of your love and support in the past and I’m very excited about what lies ahead.

As Father Guido Sarducci once said, “So let me just say thank you from nearby the bottom of my heart, for showing me that beauty is truly in the eye of the tiger.”

I had the honor of creating the art for the Gingerdead Men's new EP, Paper Leviathan. They claim they tricked me into doing it, but I've been wanting to do a proper album cover for years. The original idea was to use a Dr. Sketchy drawing, but that really didn't fit the project. So here's where we ended up.

Currently without a full-time vocalist, tGDM enlisted the help of Coinmonster's Jon Reider. So you've got my favorite band-made-up-of-my-friends-that-nobody's-ever-heard-of combined with the frontman from my favorite local(ish)-band-from-my-college-days-that-some-people-might-have-heard-of. The results are pretty freaking great. Although, they would've been better if they had included a cover of Neil Diamond's Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show. I was a little busy working around the house, but one of my favorite clients called yesterday with an "emergency" assignment. "Shakespeare with a twist," he said, "and I need it in about an hour. Can you do it or should I go to Hell?" Well what has two thumbs, a Wacom tablet and a desire to keep his friends out of the underworld?
